We were one of the couples deeply affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in May 2021. When Taiwan was suddenly placed under Level 3 restrictions, our wedding had to be postponed. We thought waiting another year would bring improvement—but before 2021 even ended, our original wedding venue closed down due to the pandemic.

Although we did not suffer significant financial loss, everything we had carefully planned had to start over. We began searching again for a wedding venue in Hsinchu.

Through friends, we learned that the banquet spaces at  Lakeshore Hotel Hsinchu had undergone a major renovation at the end of 2021. When we visited, we were truly impressed—the entire space was bright, elegant, and refreshed. The vibrant carpet design even matched the wedding attire we had already chosen.

What stood out most was the spacious, pillar-free layout with no obstructed views, a large central LED screen, and dual projection walls—ensuring every guest could fully enjoy the celebration.

Our banquet coordinator, Joyce, patiently walked us through every detail. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the pricing was comparable to typical wedding venues, while also including the benefit of a complimentary stay the night before—perfect for couples like us who were not planning a traditional bridal procession.

Having gone through one major disruption, our biggest concern remained the uncertainty of the pandemic. Lakeshore’s flexible postponement policy and long-standing local reputation gave us much-needed reassurance.

Yet in May 2022, the situation escalated once again, with daily case numbers rising rapidly. Although restrictions were less strict than the year before, uncertainty and concern were still widespread—especially among guests with elderly family members or young children.

During this time, we frequently adjusted our plans and stayed in close communication with Joyce. We are deeply grateful for her understanding, patience, and unwavering support. She went above and beyond to help us navigate every challenge.

In the end, we were able to successfully hold our wedding on May 14, 2022—a truly unforgettable and meaningful day.

We wholeheartedly recommend  Lakeshore Hotel Hsinchu to couples planning a wedding in Hsinchu:

– A well-established local hotel with a trusted reputation
– Elegant, newly renovated spaces—perfect for pre-wedding photography
– Fully equipped facilities with unobstructed views
– Fair pricing and excellent value
– Delicious, varied cuisine that guests truly enjoy
