Return to the Golden Tea Era - Chiang A-Hsin Mansion Package
Chiang A-Hsin Mansion Cultural Tour × MAN YUE LOU Chef’s Special Hakka Delicacies
Follow the path along Beipu Old Street to the legendary Chiang A-Hsin Mansion. This magnificent blend of Eastern and Western architecture holds the captivating story of a tea merchant family, waiting for you to experience an exclusive guided tour through the golden age of Taiwan’s tea industry.

Step back to the 1950s, when Chiang A-Hsin — known as the “Tea Tiger” of Beipu, Hsinchu — was exporting Taiwan’s finest teas to the world. At the height of his success, he built a magnificent mansion that seamlessly blended Eastern and Western architectural styles.
This remarkable building served not only as a reception house for distinguished guests, but also as a testament to the golden age of Taiwan’s tea export industry.
Today, stepping through the mansion’s doors along Beipu Old Street, visitors are greeted by arched windows, intricate plasterwork, and exquisite wood carvings — each detail still telling the story of this legendary family.
We invite you to join an exclusive guided tour and hear the stories of the Gold Leaf era firsthand — an intimate journey through Taiwan’s most glorious chapter in tea history.
Lakeshore Hotel Group has partnered with the Chiang A-Hsin Educational Foundation to create a new experience package rooted in a shared commitment to celebrating local heritage — bringing together cultural immersion and refined hospitality.
From the Gold Leaf legend of Chiang A-Hsin Mansion to the Hakka culinary artistry championed by MAN YUE LOU’s Michelin-starred chef, we have woven together Hsinchu’s cultural heritage and local flavors, inviting you to return to that extraordinary era.

Led by starred chef Tsai Jui-Lang, the kitchen honors the Hakka spirit of reverence and resourcefulness — sourcing local, seasonal ingredients, practicing whole-ingredient cooking, and rejecting artificial enhancements to transform humble terroir into refined cuisine.
In collaboration with the College of Hakka Studies at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, MAN YUE LOU channels academic depth into its culinary philosophy, reviving Hakka food history on the plate as a living, savored aesthetic.
